Here's How it Works
Easy Steps
- Login to the Reliance State Bank App.
- Select "Check Deposit" from the menu.
- Select the account you would like to deposit into.
- Enter the check amount.
- Endorse the back of the check with your signature and print exactly: "For mobile deposit only at Reliance State Bank"
- Snap a photo of the front and back of the check.
- Verify the information is correct and submit.
You will receive an email notification confirming that we have received your deposit. While you may want to use the money right away, you'll need to wait for the check to post to your bank account first before accessing the funds. Mobile deposits made by 4 p.m. are typically available the next business day.
You must keep the check for 60 days after making your deposit. Promptly after the 60 days, you must destroy the original check by first marking it "VOID" and then destroying it by cross-cut shredding or another commercially acceptable means of destruction.

What do I do with the paper check after the deposit is submitted?
-
After you receive confirmation that we have received an image, you must securely store the original check for 60 calendar days after transmission to us and make the original check accessible to us at our request. From time to time, we may request the original paper check to review, facilitate the clearing and collection process, to address third party claims, or for our own auditing purposes. At our request, you will need deliver, at your expense, the original paper copy within 10 calendar days. If not provided in a timely manner, such amount will be reversed from your account. Promptly after the 60 calendar days, you must destroy the original check by first marking it "VOID" and then destroying it by cross-cut shredding or another commercially acceptable means of destruction. After destruction of an original check, the image will be the sole evidence of the original check.
